ILOILO CITY – The Land Transportation Office (LTO)-6 and private partners have distributed more than 1,000 food packs to drivers and operators of public utility vehicles (PUVs) here to help ease the impact of the fuel crisis from the Middle East conflict.
Known as the “Pantawid sa Krisis Program,” LTO-6 tapped the We Are Ayala Business Club (WAABC)—a group of officials and employees of the branches of the various Ayala Group of Companies—for the two-day distribution of 1,110 food packs.
LTO-6 Director Gaudioso P. Geduspan and Vanessa Lutero of the WAABC led the distribution of 500 food packs at Ceres bus terminal on Thursday, March 26. Another 600 food packs were given at the Ungka and Mohon Terminals on Friday, March 27.
Geduspan reaffirmed LTO-6’s commitment in providing much-needed assistance to transportation workers while ensuring the uninterrupted flow of public transportation despite the ongoing crisis.
A government service caravan for the transportation sector was also held.
