The Southern Police District (SPD) confiscated P680,000 worth of shabu and arrested two persons during a buy-bust operation in Taguig on March 24.
The suspects were identified by their aliases Hab, 35, a resident of Malate, Manila, and Alex, 25, a construction worker residing in Maharlika, Taguig City, both classified by the police as high-value individuals.
The police arrested the two suspects beside the Marian Lakeview United entrance along Sync Street in Arca South FTI, Barangay Western Bicutan.
Conducting the operation were joint elements of the SPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and the Taguig police’s Sub-station 2.
During the entrapment, an undercover officer acted as a poseur buyer and transacted with Hab, leading to the arrest of both suspects.
Upon their arrest, the police recovered 100 grams of shabu with an estimated price of P680,000.
Hab yielded 50 grams of shabu buy-bust money and a cell phone while Alex yielded another 50 grams of shabu.
They were brought to the DDEU office for documentation and the preparation of criminal charges.
The two suspects will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD district director, commended the operating team for the arrest.
