A 41-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, March 25, after authorities found an unlicensed firearm inside his residence in Pasay City.
Pasay City Police chief Col. Joselito De Sesto said operatives of the Malibay Substation nabbed the suspect, identified as Joseph, at his house on C. De Guzman Street, Malibay.
Police recovered the suspect's .38-caliber revolver with three rounds of ammunition during the serving a search warrant issued by Judge Rowena Nieves A. Tan of the Pasay Regional Trial Court, Branch 118.
Joseph is now detained at the police custodial facility and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The confiscated firearm was turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for ballistic examination.
