Man assaulted with metal pipe by 4 men inside computer shop in Taytay, Rizal

A 27-year-old man was assaulted by four men while inside a computer shop in Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said Wednesday, March 25.

The police report showed the victim, identified as alias "Mark," was renting a computer unit inside a computer shop along Sampaguita Floodway last March 22, when four men attacked him relentlessly with a metal pipe, hitting him on several parts of his body.

Mark was able to escape from his attackers, who chased him outside the computer shop, before being able to seek help from a bystander, forcing the men to escape.

The victim was rushed to Angono Emergency Hospital and was later transferred to Pasig City General Hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the police said three of the attackers were arrested while one of their cohorts was able to escape from the authorities. A manhunt operation was launched against the suspect who is still at large.

The arrested individuals will be charged with frustrated homicide and are currently detained at the Taytay Municipal Police custodial facility.
