Korean crime thriller 'Gold Land' with Park Bo-young, Kim Sung-cheol set to premiere in April
The new Korean crime thriller “Gold Land,” starring actress Park Bo-young and actor Kim Sung-cheol, will premiere in April.
Disney+ announced that the Korean series will debut on the streaming platform on April 29.
“Gold Land” follows Kim Heeju (Park Bo-young), a young woman from a sleepy backwater town whose life takes a positive turn after she begins dating a successful pilot.
Finally escaping her past and managing to hold down a reputable job at a nearby airport, things seem to be going well for Heeju until her boyfriend calls her pleading for help. Within days Heeju will find herself on the run with a ton of gold bars, hurtling towards the one place she swore she’d never return.
Kim Sung-cheol is Woogy, a member of the criminal organization chasing Heeju.
The series is written by Hwang Joyoon (“Old Boy,” “Memoir of a Murderer”) and is directed by Kim Sunghoon (“Chief Detective 1958,” “Confidential Assignment”).
Last November, “Gold Land” was unveiled during the Disney+ Originals Preview 2025 in Hong Kong.
