Driver stable after seizure incident at QC cash aid payout
A driver who lost consciousness during a cash relief assistance (CRA) payout at the Quezon Memorial Circle on Wednesday, March 25, is now in stable condition, according to the local government.
“Maayos na ang kalagayan ng drayber na hinimatay kahapon, March 25, 2026, sa gitna ng isinagawang cash relief assistance (CRA) payout sa Quezon Memorial Circle(The driver who fainted yesterday, March 25, 2026, during a cash relief assistance (CRA) payout at Quezon Memorial Circle is in stable condition),” the city government said in a statement on Thursday, March 26.
Authorities reported that the driver has a seizure condition that caused the sudden loss of consciousness.
Emergency responders from the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office immediately responded and brought the driver to the Quezon City General Hospital for medical attention.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also extended aid.
The city government also provided maintenance medicine to address the driver’s condition.
“Matapos ang masusing pagsusuri, napagpasyahan ng drayber at ng kaniyang pamilya na hindi na siya kailangang iadmit sa ospital (After a thorough examination, the driver and his family decided that he no longer needed to be admitted to the hospital),” it added.
The DSWD and the Quezon City government assured the public that payout operations remain safe and orderly.
“Tinitiyak ng DSWD at ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Quezon na maayos, ligtas, at organisado ang isinasagawang payout para sa mga drayber mula sa iba’t ibang grupo (DSWD and the Quezon City Government ensure that the payout for drivers from various groups is smooth, safe, and organized),” it added.
