Following its highly affordable small SUV, the A/T CS15, priced at ₱850,000, Changan is bringing in yet another very affordable model for new car buyers. The carmaker has officially added a new sedan to its Philippine lineup with the launch of the Eado Plus. It is a model aimed at buyers who still want a conventional A/T ICE four-door passenger car in a market now crowded with crossovers.
Launched on March 25, the Eado Plus enters the local market in two variants: the 1.5 Lite DCT and the 1.5 Luxe DCT. Standard retail prices are set at ₱750,000 for the Lite and ₱799,999 for the Luxe, while introductory prices valid until April 30, 2026 bring those down to ₱699,000 and ₱749,999, respectively.
The Eado Plus is powered by a 1.5-liter Bluecore gasoline engine matched to a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission. Output is listed at 106-PS and 145-Nm. Both variants are front-wheel drive and use electronic power steering, MacPherson strut front suspension, and a torsion beam rear suspension. The Luxe also gets Eco and Normal drive modes.
More car for less money
On the floor, the Eado Plus carries the proportions expected of a compact sedan, but Changan has given it a cleaner and more contemporary look than the low-cost sedans many buyers in this price bracket are used to seeing. The front end is defined by a wide grille and slim light signatures, while the side profile keeps things neat with simple body lines and body-colored door handles. Heated and power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals are standard across the range.
Wheel specification separates the two variants visually. The Lite rides on 16-inch steel wheels, while the Luxe gets 16-inch alloys. At the rear, the Eado Plus uses wing-shaped LED tail lamps linked by a chrome trim piece, along with a fin-type antenna.
Inside, the Eado Plus leans on equipment to make its case. Both variants get a 10.25-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster, black fabric seats, rear window defogger, LED reading lamps, USB charging ports for both rows, a day and night inside rear-view mirror, plus a PM2.5-grade air filter.
The Lite uses a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, paired with a 2-speaker audio system. It also gets tilt steering adjustment and a mechanical gear selector.
Changan Philippines Brand Head, Mr. Ryan Bermudez, discusses the features and benefits of the Eado Plus to guests during the launch.
Meanwhile, the Luxe trim adds a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, rear air vents, steering wheel controls for audio and display functions, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and foldable second-row seats.
Standard safety equipment includes driver and passenger airbags, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, hill hold control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, child safety lock, ISOFIX anchors, tire pressure monitoring, keyless entry, central locking, and a space-saver spare tire.
The Luxe adds side airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, reverse camera, smart entry, push-button start, remote engine start, and speed-sensing door locks.
For the Philippine market, the Eado Plus is offered in White, Black, Andean Gray, and Titanium Silver Gray, with the last color available by special order.
The launch gives Changan a fresh entry in a shrinking but still relevant sedan space. While the market has shifted heavily toward SUVs, there is still room for buyers who want a lower, lighter, more straightforward daily driver. At the same time, the Eado Plus is priced and specified in a way that could also make it viable as an affordable but value-packed business transport, whether for TNVS duty, company use, or fleet service.
