Alleged troll accounts flagged on Mayor Isko's page after surge of 'angry' reactions
The Office of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said it has identified what it described as alleged troll accounts reacting to posts on the mayor’s official Facebook page.
According to the mayor’s office, the accounts were observed leaving a surge of “angry” reactions, with many of the profiles bearing names that appeared to be Vietnamese, raising concerns about the authenticity of the activity.
In a statement, Domagoso called on the public to avoid spreading hate and political division, urging unity amid ongoing challenges.
He added that this is not the time for “bangayan at siraan (infighting and mudslinging),” but for cooperation as communities work to overcome current difficulties.
The Office of the Mayor has yet to release further details on the accounts, as monitoring of the page continues.
