AirDrop will be available on the Samsung Galaxy S26, other models to follow
The Samsung Galaxy S26 will soon be able to receive files from Apple users.
Was I the only one who felt that the “Apple kids” had an exclusive club with their “Just Airdrop it” attitude on transferring files? Well, I no longer have to feel left out, because Samsung just announced it will bring AirDrop support to the Galaxy S26 series via Quick Share.
The rollout started on March 23 in Korea and will expand to other regions, including Southeast Asia (Philippines!), soon.
To access the feature, just go to Settings, Connected Devices, Quickshare, Share with Apple devices, and make sure that ‘Share on Apple devices’ is turned on. Although the fine print says that the ‘Share on Apple devices’ feature will be turned on by default. Just make sure to check on it to be sure.
AirDrop will first be available on the Samsung Galaxy S26 before expanding to other devices, with a promised announcement coming soon. Take note that the availability of the feature will also vary by market.
So, Apple kids, make room in your tree house, we’re coming.
