Kim Sejeong says goodbye to Jellyfish Entertainment following 12-year journey
Singer and actress Kim Sejeong expressed her gratitude to Jellyfish Entertainment after spending more than a decade with the company.
In her recent Instagram post, Sejeong shared how her former agency supported her throughout her career.

“Hello, this is Kim Se-jeong. After 12 years—from my very beginnings as a trainee to becoming the person I am today—I am leaving Jellyfish, who has always stood by my side,” the actress stated.
The artist also reminisced on her journey with Jellyfish Entertainment, mentioning that leaving was not an easy decision.
“Looking back, so many days have flashed by I.O.I, Gugudan, countless projects, solo activities—I spent all that time with Jellyfish, and what I learned and built up during that time has shaped who I am today. Perhaps that is why the words “I’m leaving” don’t come easily, and a part of my heart feels heavy,” she stated.
Before this, Jellyfish Entertainment announced Sejeong's departure in a lengthy statement on their official Instagram account.
Expressing their gratitude to the fans, Jellyfish Entertainment stated, “We'd like to begin by offering our sincerest gratitude to all the fans who have provided our artist KIM SEJEONG with so much love. We wish to announce that after many long discussions, KIM SEJEONG and we have reached the decision to agree concluding our long journey together of 10 years by ending our exclusive contract.”
Jellyfish Entertainment also encourages everyone to continue showing their support for Sejeong.“We wish to also voice our gratitude to KIM SEJEONG for staying unwavering by Jellyfish Entertainment's side and will continue to cheer her on over her new journey. Please continue to shower KIM SEJEONG with unending love and support. Thank you,” the agency stated.
Sejeong has officially signed an exclusive contract with BH Entertainment.
Sharing the exciting news, BH Entertainment posted the announcement on their official Instagram account on March 24.
“We have signed an exclusive contract with Kim Sejeong!,” the agency stated.
Founded by the acclaimed actor Lee Byung-hun, BH Entertainment is home to talented artists, including Han Hyo-joo, Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young, and Park Jinyoung of GOT7, among others.Starting a new path with BH Entertainment, Sejeong also wished for the fans' constant support.“I now stand at the start of a new path. It feels a little unfamiliar and a little scary, but trusting in the heart and experiences I’ve built up over the years, I will take it one step at a time. I would be grateful if you could continue to watch over the future me with the same warmth you have shown me until now. Thank you,” she stated in her Instagram post.
Sejeong debuted in 2016 as a member of the K-pop project girl group I.O.I., after participating in Mnet’s reality survival show, Produce 101.
After her time with the group ended, Sejeong became a member of the group Gugudan in the same year.
She later made a mark in her acting career, showcasing her remarkable performance in the drama “School 2017.”
The actress is also widely known for starring in the hit 2022 Netflix romantic-comedy series “Business Proposal,” as well as the seasons 1 and 2 of the 2021 and 2023 fantasy-thriller drama “The Uncanny Counter." (Contributed by Elizza Callos)
