Newborn baby girl abandoned in Kabankalan City cafe

BACOLOD CITY – A newborn baby girl was abandoned in a cafe in Barangay Oringao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Monday, March 23.
Police said a staff of the establishment noticed a plastic bag on top of a table while cleaning.
She opened it and discovered the baby wrapped in a black cloth with her umbilical cord still attached.
She called for help and brought the infant to the barangay and to the health center. The baby was turned over to the custody of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
