BLK 513 celebrates 10 years with a wellness-focused gathering
From frozen yogurt to mindful rituals, the brand hosted an afternoon of yoga, meditation, and community that marks the brand's next chapter
It’s been a decade since BLK 513 opened its first store at SM Megamall in 2016. What stood out in the local dessert scene was its charcoal-based frozen yogurt, which customers can pair with layered crunches and sauces.
Since then, the brand has grown to 40 stores nationwide, with locations now extending beyond Metro Manila. Instead of looking back, the brand chose to mark the milestone by shifting the conversation forward.
“Back in 2015, when we launched BLK 513, my north star has always been staying true to who we are: Filipino talent, ingenuity, and heart,” said Abigail Sy, founder and managing director for innovation and brand strategy at Bravefoods Global Concepts Holdings Inc., which operates the frozen yogurt brand. “No flashy promotional stunts, just genuine connection with our 10-year community.”
Last Feb. 24, 2026, the brand hosted an anniversary gathering at Bigger Pictures in Mandaluyong City, transforming the space into a relaxing, intentional setting. The intimate event and also introduced Dream Block Wellness and Social Club, a community built around routines, self-care, and shared experiences. It reflects how the brand is evolving, from a dessert destination into something that connects more closely with everyday habits.
“It’s been a decade, and it still feels unreal to see people weave our products into their routines,” said Kim Rebsey Sy. “We want to move past regular launches and engage our audience in more intentional ways.”
Guests were given time to explore at their own pace, stopping at partner stations and taking time to settle into the environment. The program began with a guided Vinyasa flow led by Maxene Magalona. The session set a slower rhythm, encouraging movement without pressure. This was followed by a guided meditation and a sound healing session that filled the room with low, steady frequencies, providing a more relaxing setting.
“Dream Block is just the first milestone on a longer journey,” Abigail added. “We’re proving we’re more than frozen yogurt—we’re a brand that values transparency, empathy, and everyday wellbeing.”
