Jetour has added another 5-star result to its regional safety record, with the all-new T1 securing a top rating from ASEAN NCAP under the 2021 to 2025 assessment protocol.
The T1 recorded a total score of 87.67 points. Its breakdown stood at 38.09 points for Adult Occupant Protection, 16.18 points for Child Occupant Protection, 17.14 points for Safety Assist, and 16.25 points for Motorcyclist Safety. That makes the T1 the second recent Jetour model to secure a 5-star ASEAN NCAP result, following the T2.
Across its variants, the T1 is listed with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, seatbelt reminder systems for front and rear occupants, rear seat detection, Child Presence Detection, ISOFIX anchors, blind spot detection, and pedestrian protection as standard equipment.
ASEAN NCAP also noted the availability of additional driver-assistance features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking for city and inter-urban scenarios, AEB Pedestrian, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Auto High Beam, and motorcycle AEB.
The T1 was among the vehicles assessed before the close of ASEAN NCAP’s 2021 to 2025 testing cycle. From 2026 onward, evaluations are being conducted under the new 2026 to 2030 protocol.
For Jetour, the result strengthens the T1’s position as a compact SUV with safety credentials already validated under the region’s crash-test program. In the Philippines, that matters in a segment where buyers are paying closer attention to active safety systems and occupant protection.
“Safety remains one of the most important priorities for Filipino car buyers, and this recognition further strengthens our confidence in the JETOUR lineup,” said Miguelito Jose, managing director of Jetour Auto Philippines Inc.
He added that the T1’s 5-star result reflects the brand’s focus on combining technology, practicality, and occupant protection as Jetour continues to grow its local presence.
