Elderly man in Naic robbed by live-in partner, cohort

CAVITE – An 87-year-old man in Naic was reportedly robbed by two suspects, including his 39-year-old live-in partner, on Saturday, March 21.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office (Cavite PPO) identified the suspects as alias Rose, the victim’s live-in partner and alleged mastermind, and alias Ben, 18 years old.
Alias Ben allegedly entered the victim’s house and threatened him with a kitchen knife while forcibly taking his gold necklace, gold ring, and wristwatch, with a total estimated value of P80,000.
“Initial investigation revealed that alias Rose allegedly planned the robbery, while alias Ben carried out the act,” Cavite PPO’s statement said.
Following the incident, the victim sought help from barangay officials, who assisted him in reporting the robbery to the Naic Municipal Police Station (Naic MPS).
The police immediately launched a follow-up operation, which led to the suspects' arrest.
The stolen items and the knife used in the crime were also recovered.
Alias Rose and alias Ben are now under custody and are facing charges for robbery with intimidation.
In a statement, Cavite PPO Director Col. Ariel R. Red commended the operating units for their swift response and assured the public that the police remain committed to protecting the community, especially vulnerable sectors such as senior citizens.
