First Lady Liza Marcos honored by Spanish Chamber at La Fiesta 2026
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos received a special distinction award from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (La Cámara) during the La Fiesta 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig City on March 18.
The recognition was conferred as part of the chamber’s annual gathering that brings together leaders and stakeholders from Spain and the Philippines to strengthen economic and cultural ties.
In a Facebook post, the First Lady expressed gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the importance of collaboration between both nations.
“La Fiesta 2026, organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, brought together leaders and partners from Spain and the Philippines, all working toward stronger connections and shared opportunities,” she said.
“Grateful to be in the company of those who continue to move this meaningful work forward in their own ways,” she added.
She also shared a video of the event on Instagram, describing it as “a room full of people building something bigger than themselves.”
La Fiesta 2026 carried the theme “Connecting Regions & Building Futures,” underscoring the chamber’s role in advancing Spanish-Filipino business relations and fostering a forward-looking, collaborative community.
La Cámara said the event serves not only as a social gathering but also as a milestone that reflects the progress of stakeholders in strengthening bilateral ties and shaping future opportunities.
Established in 1889, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines aims to promote and deepen economic and trade relations between the Philippines and Spain, engaging businesses, government partners, and the diplomatic community in shared initiatives.
