Easterlies to bring warmer weather, scattered rains in parts of the Philippines
Expect warmer conditions in the coming days as the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, become the prevailing weather system over the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Saturday, March 21.
PAGASA said most areas in the country will experience generally fair weather, but the easterlies may bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Lanao del Sur, Cotabato, and Davao Oriental.
Metro Manila and other parts of the country are expected to have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA also reminded the public to stay alert, as flash floods or landslides are possible in areas affected by sudden downpours or severe thunderstorms.
