The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started constructing a six-storey main building for the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) College of Communication in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
The project will include 14 classrooms, two laboratories, an auditorium, and faculty rooms to strengthen academic support for students, faculty, and administrative personnel.
Digital newsrooms, audio-visual rooms, and data and research laboratories will also be integrated into the building.
These facilities will provide hands-on learning in communication-related fields and align student training with industry standards.
DPWH assured the timely completion of the project under its “Care, Quality, and Speed” directive, highlighting its commitment to prioritizing funding and fast-tracking infrastructure development at PUP.
