Five government hospitals in Bohol received 12 mechanical ventilators from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday, March 20, strengthening critical care capacity and improving access to life-saving treatment.
The ventilators, donated under PCSO’s Medical Equipment Donation Program, went to Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital in Talibon (six units), Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital in Jagna (three), Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen (one), Catigbian District Hospital (one), and Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital in Inabanga (one).
PCSO General Manager Mel Robles said the donation is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to expand healthcare services to provincial and remote areas.
“This turnover is part of our broader mission to bring essential health services closer to the people,” he said.
Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado welcomed the donation, noting that the ventilators will help hospitals respond more effectively to emergencies and other public health threats.
The Resvent RV200 ventilators are portable units suitable for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, and can be used for bedside care and patient transport.
They feature multiple ventilation modes, real-time monitoring, touchscreen interfaces, battery backup, adjustable oxygen delivery, and built-in safety features.
Alongside the ventilators, PCSO turned over a check worth ₱277,940.92, representing Bohol’s lotto shares from July to December 2025.
