Lastimosa dismisses RR Pogoy trade rumors

In a video posted on the team's social media pages, Lastimosa called the speculation baseless, denying reports that TNT was planning to trade Pogoy to acquire Blackwater guard Sedrick Barefield.

TNT team manager Jojo Lastimosa dismissed trade rumors linking RR Pogoy to a potential move, stressing that the team has no intention to part ways with the star gunner.

In a video posted on the team’s social media pages, Lastimosa called the speculation baseless, denying reports that TNT was planning to trade Pogoy to acquire Blackwater guard Sedrick Barefield.

“I just wanna say that there's no truth whatsoever to the rumors of Roger going anywhere. Roger is the pillar of TNT. And I have no reason for Roger to be traded for Barefield, or for RJ Barrientos, and Jordan (Heading) in the mix, there's no truth,” said Lastimosa.

The former player-turned executive stressed that the team is very much intact and that there’s no reason for any major changes, especially coming off four-straight Finals appearances.

“There's nothing going on in the team. The team is doing great,” Lastimosa said.

“And there's no reason to have a major change, especially in the name of Roger. So parang it's so detrimental to the team if we change it right now. We're on a streak in going to the finals for a straight time, so why break it?” he added.

Lastimosa said the team is even looking forward to welcoming Pogoy back to the lineup after being sidelined with back injury last conference.

“We have a good team coming, and we're excited for Roger to come back from injury,” he added

“If there's something going on, it would be coming officially from me or from our management. All you hear about the outside noise, there's no truth to it,” he stressed.
