EK's iconic Wheel of Fate makes a comeback with a fresh look and a smoother experience

For many people who grew up having fun at Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the excitement doesn’t start once they enter its grounds—it begins on the road, the moment they catch sight of its iconic Ferris wheel, the Wheel of Fate.
The Wheel of Fate
Since it opened its gates in 1995, EK has not only been a destination for fun and thrilling rides but also a place where special moments are made. For families and friends, many of those memories happen while sharing a ride on the Wheel of Fate. The attraction has been there since the park first launched and is, arguably, one of the longest-standing rides of its kind in the Philippines, continuing to be part of the experience for a new generation of Filipino guests.
After months of refurbishment, the Wheel of Fate returns with a smoother ride experience, updated ride system technology, and freshly reimagined theming. This initiative is part of EK’s 30th anniversary celebration and its mission to deliver world-class offerings that leave every parkgoer forever enchanted.
Manila Bulletin Lifestyle got to experience the Wheel of Fate ahead of its official reopening. One of the first things visitors will notice is its new look, now bearing the park’s signature colors and complementing the distinctive hues of the Midway Boardwalk. It is as striking as ever—but seeing it from the ground is an entirely different experience from riding it.
What makes the Wheel of Fate beloved by many is the breathtaking aerial views it offers. Standing at a towering height of 130 feet, it not only gives you a full view of the park but also provides an excellent vantage point of the City of Santa Rosa and its surrounding areas.
At night, it becomes even more magical as it lights up, illuminating the park and creating the perfect backdrop for families and friends who want to capture their time together.
The return of the Wheel of Fate is just one of the recent enhancements signaling a new chapter for EK as it marks three decades of enchantment. Last year, the park unveiled Agila The EKsperience: Saribuhay—an educational and immersive attraction showcasing the Philippines’ rich biodiversity. The Space Shuttle was also reimagined with new theming and updated ride system technology for a safer and more thrilling experience. Meanwhile, EKlipse—a 32-seater, non-inverting ride—stands as one of the newest additions to the park’s growing roster of attractions.
