VinFast is making it more cost-effective to own one of their EVs. The Vietnamese automaker wants to reduce buyers’ dependence on gasoline with their zero-fuel-cost advantage. VinFast Philippines has announced the extension of its free, unlimited charging program for customers using authorized V-Green charging stations.
Valid for three years, customers in the Philippines can charge their VinFast vehicle for free at any V-Green-developed-and-operated charging station until March 31, 2029. The program covers all customers, both existing owners and future buyers, and whether their vehicles are private or used for transportation services, including drivers operating on the Green SM ride-hailing platform.
This new development serves as a very long (and timely) extension of VinFast’s already existing EV charging program for customers purchasing electric vehicles in three key Asian markets: India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The move comes as the recent rise in fuel prices continues to place pressure on Filipino households and businesses. By removing one of the largest operating costs of driving, VinFast aims to help motorists experience the economic advantages of electric vehicles while supporting the country’s transition toward more sustainable mobility.
Alongside the free charging policy, the charging network developed and operated by V-Green is continuously expanding across the markets where VinFast operates. This expansion helps create favorable conditions for consumers to confidently transition to greener and more sustainable transportation.
“VinFast’s initial free charging policy received strong support from consumers, both in Vietnam and in international markets where VinFast operates,” said Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales, VinFast. “Extending this policy for another three years is the next step in our strategy to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. VinFast believes that when operating costs are optimized to nearly zero, consumers will have greater confidence and motivation to switch to green mobility, while also contributing to the greening of transportation systems in these countries.”
In addition to the free charging incentive, VinFast is already implementing multiple policies to promote the green transition in key Asian markets. These include a battery subscription program that lowers upfront investment cost, a resale value guarantee policy, flexible payment options, and market-leading warranty coverage.
With its rapidly expanding and increasingly comprehensive EV ecosystem, together with strong support policies, VinFast is accelerating the transition to electrified transportation in multiple countries, aiming to popularize electric vehicles and create a sustainable green future worldwide.
