Body of Trisha Kerstin victim recovered in Basilan

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The body of a female victim of the ill-fated MV Trisha Kerstin 3 was found floating in the sea of Isabela City in Basilan province on Thursday, March 20.

The victim was identified as Nurshaina Jalaide of Barangay Bakud, Siasi municipality, Sulu province.

Her body was discovered around noon by a fisherman and was retrieved by authorities.

Authorities have coordinated with Jalaide's family and relevant agencies to ensure proper documentation and handling of her remains.

Jalaide was among the missing passengers identified in a popular social media account. Her relatives posted numerous announcements when she went missing after the sinking of the passenger vessel.
