Suspects in murder of former beauty queen identified

CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police have identified the suspects in the fatal shooting of Lullete Jane D. Ramilo dela Cruz, former Miss Philippines-Earth 2013 third runner-up and teacher.
A murder case has been filed against a suspect – JayR.
Dela Cruz was killed at around 6 p.m. on Feb. 13 in Barangay Cabaritan, San Manuel, Isabela.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Police have strengthened coordination with the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Isabela to ensure the integrity of evidence, proper documentation, and the prompt filing of appropriate charges against the suspects.
Isabela police chief Police Col. Manuel B. Bringas said they are committed to deliver justice to the victim’s family.
“The Isabela PPO remains vigilant, proactive, and impartial in fulfilling its duty. Everything is carried out for the welfare of the public and the steadfast delivery of justice,” Bringas said.
The Police Regional Office-2 led by Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. created Special Investigation Task Group Ramilo to investigate the crime that earned widespread public attention.
Marallag commended police for their continued efforts in pursuing justice.
“Every step we take is grounded in the law and due process to ensure that anyone who violates it will be held accountable. Justice is not a privilege for a few, but a right for all,” he said.
