Okada Manila enters online gaming with PhilWeb deal

Tiger Resort, Leisure & Entertainment Inc., the operator of Okada Manila, has tapped leading local gaming service provider PhilWeb Corp. to introduce a new online gaming platform under the brand Okada Play.

Under the agreement, PhilWeb will deliver a comprehensive online gaming platform (OGP) solution for Okada Play, encompassing a full suite of gaming content, platform technology, customer service infrastructure, and marketing support.

PhilWeb informed the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) that the strategic partnership marks a significant step in expanding Okada Manila’s footprint into the digital gaming space, reinforcing its position as a leading premium integrated resort in the Philippines.

“Okada Play is positioned to emerge as a strong challenger in the country’s competitive online gaming market, offering a differentiated, high-quality digital experience aligned with the premium standards of the Okada Manila brand,” PhilWeb and Okada said.

Leveraging PhilWeb’s proven expertise in regulated gaming platforms and nationwide operations, the collaboration aims to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience to a growing base of digital players.

“This partnership reflects our continued commitment to providing best-in-class gaming solutions to industry leaders,” said PhilWeb President Brian Ng.

He added, “By working with Tiger Resort, Leisure & Entertainment, we are enabling the extension of a globally recognized luxury gaming brand into the online space through a robust and scalable platform.”

“Okada Play marks a strategic step in scaling our digital gaming presence and reinforcing our leadership in the market,” said Okada Manila President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Nobuki Sato.

He noted, “By expanding our platform portfolio through this partnership, we are able to reach new player segments while continuing to elevate the premium digital experience associated with the Okada brand.”

The launch of Okada Play is expected to support Okada Manila’s broader digital transformation strategy, enhancing customer engagement beyond its physical property while complementing its existing online platforms and capturing new revenue opportunities within the regulated online gaming ecosystem.

“As the Philippine gaming industry continues to evolve, the PhilWeb-Okada partnership underscores the growing convergence of land-based and digital gaming, with technology and premium content playing a central role in shaping the future of the sector,” the companies said.
