FIFTEEN candidates are competing in the Miss Tobacco Philippines 2026 pageant in Candon City on Friday, March 20.
CANDON CITY, Ilocos Sur – Fifteen candidates representing eight branches of the National Tobacco Administration (NTA) will compete in the Miss Tobacco Philippines 2026 pageant on Friday, March 20.
The event is one of the highlights of the month-long 2026 Tobacco Festival that coincides with the 25th anniversary of Candon City’s cityhood and the 128th commemoration of the historic Cry of Candon.
Candon City Mayor Eric D. Singson said the event is among the initiatives aimed at honoring the tobacco industry, which has long been a vital part of the culture, economy, and livelihood of many communities in the city.
The Miss Tobacco Philippines pageant is one of the most anticipated events of the Tobacco Festival celebrating the heritage of the tobacco industry and the role of women in promoting local pride and community development.
The beauty pageant is organized by the Candon City government in partnership with the NTA under Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Belinda S. Sanchez.
