Authorities are hunting down a man who allegedly forcibly entered a pharmacy and disconnected its closed-circuit television (CCTV) system before stealing about P150,000 in cash from the store’s vault in Binangonan, Rizal on Wednesday, March 18.
The Binangonan Municipal Police Station (Binangonan MPS) said the pharmacy’s store head reported the break-in after discovering it. The suspect remains unidentified.
Based on the initial investigation, the incident occurred inside the pharmacy on JP Rizal Street in Barangay Libis at around 1:46 a.m., after the suspect allegedly gained entry by climbing onto the roof of the establishment.
Authorities said the suspect cut a portion of the roof and ceiling at the front area and entered into the interior of the store.
Upon entry, they said the suspect forcibly disconnected the CCTV and proceeded to the vault, which he forcibly destroyed and took the money. He then exited through the same entry point on the roof.
