HONOR X8d launches tonight with 108MP camera and ultra-thin design

HONOR Philippines has officially unveiled the HONOR X8d, its third smartphone release of 2026, targeting budget-conscious students who want style and performance without the premium price tag. The device will launch later tonight, March 19.

The announcement positions the X8d as an entry-level option built around aesthetics and camera capability. HONOR Philippines vice president Stephen Cheng emphasized the brand's intent to serve a younger demographic: "Today's students are creative, expressive, and always on the move. We offer HONOR X8d to match that energy sleek, capable, and budget-friendly. It proves that you don't have to spend more to stand out and stay connected."

Slim build with premium finish

The HONOR X8d measures just 7.5mm thin, making it one of the slimmer devices in its class. HONOR says the handset uses excimer technology and micro-nano textures to achieve a high-gloss body finish, with a metal barrel accent on the back cover adding a touch of visual refinement. The result is a lightweight form factor designed to feel as polished as it looks.

108MP camera with 3x lossless zoom

The headline spec is a 108MP AI-powered rear camera, which HONOR claims delivers enhanced detail and brightness across both daytime and low-light conditions. The system also supports 3x lossless zoom, giving users flexibility across focal lengths — a feature the brand is marketing toward users who want versatile street and lifestyle photography on a budget.
