DAVAO CITY – The Duterte bloc filed on Wednesday, March 18, a resolution urging the Office of the President and the Independent Commission for Infrastructure to report their accomplishments to the people as the body approaches the end of their mandate.
The resolution was introduced by Representatives Paolo Duterte, Harold James Duterte, Omar Vincent Duterte, and Isidro Ungab.
The lawmakers said there has been limited information on the commission’s findings despite their ongoing work, leaving the public uncertain about the status and results of their investigation.
The ICI was formed by Executive Order No. 94 issued by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. following the House of Representatives’ decision on Sept. 24, 2025 to halt proceedings of the infrastructure committee and transfer all related documents to the commission.
Under the order, the ICI is required to regularly submit reports to the Office of the President and disclose their accomplishments and other relevant documents.
However, the lawmakers noted that none of them have been released publicly to date, including a reported 125-day and a final accomplishment report now being completed.
They also raised questions about the commission’s independence as their findings are subject to presidential review.
The resolution cited statements from the President that high-profile individuals linked to alleged irregularities in infrastructure projects would be held accountable.
The Duterte bloc said that no major arrests have been reported as the commission concludes their work.
They hope that the ICI would disclose the report they have submitted to Malacañang for transparency and public access to information.
