Blu Girls set to train in Korea, Japan and US ahead of major tournaments

The Philippine Blu Girls are scheduled to undergo a series of overseas training camps and joint practices across Asia and United States in preparation for two major events this year.
The PH softbelles begin their joint training camp with the Korean national team team in South Korea from May 16 to 22 before heading to Japan for another camp in June.
The two training camps will serve as their preparation for the Women’s Softball World Cup scheduled on July 14 to 18 in Peru.
After the World Cup, the Blu Girls will proceed to the United States for another training camp that will run mid-July until September in time for the 2026 Asian Games slated Sept. 24 to Oct. 3 in Japan.
Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) President Jean Henri Lhuillier said the training camps are designed to give athletes valuable exposure while sharpening their skills for higher-level competition.
“Our goal is to give the Blu Girls every opportunity to compete and train at the highest level. These international camps and tournaments are vital in preparing them for the challenges of the World Cup and the Asian Games, and we are confident they will represent Philippine softball proudly on the global stage,” said Lhuillier, also CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier that has been actively supporting the squad.
