Admittedly, I was a bit intimidated by the idea of trying out the Ninja Slushi machine. I mean, it kind of felt like having a 711 at your home. You know, with Slurpee and all. But I was still curious, and I liked the idea of enjoying cold drinks without incurring so many expenses in the long run. Think about it: the bill for your daily coffee runs can get pretty high when you actually compute how much you’re spending on them.
With the summer months upon us, you might be looking for something to invest in that will keep you cool and will let you spend time with family and friends at home. Because when you think about it, the Ninja Slushi machine can be a pretty cool (pun intended) investment.
Before unboxing the unit, you can easily look for recipes online; there are even videos on YouTube. We decided to have frozen mimosas, which were basically orange juice and sparkling wine.
When it comes to unboxing it, it is a pretty big box, and the machine itself is pretty heavy, so make sure you have an extra set of hands to help.
It comes with a 3-prong power cable, so make sure you have a converter in hand.
The Ninja Slushi consists of a main container or vessel where you pour in the liquid, which then turns into slushi. There is an easy-to-open container where you pour your liquid in. The Auger mixes the ingredients; there is a catch container to make sure there are no solids in your drink. The handle to dispense the slushy is pretty straightforward to use; you just pull down the lever.
There are several presets to choose from: Slush, Frozen Cocktail, Frappé, Milkshake, and Frozen Juice. You can also control the temperature through the Temperature Control panel, which is right across the Present settings.
The recipe says it takes about 45 minutes to an hour for the liquid to turn into slush, but it was actually much less.
The literature that comes with the machine is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. It also comes with a lot of recipes you can try, but I do recommend watching a video on how to use the Ninja Slushi machine.
Our family lives near us. It was just one message in our group chat, and we all easily gathered in the pergola, chips and stories in tow. And we had two rounds of frozen mimosas. We eagerly discussed what our next drink should be. The kids are excited to try Coke slushies.
The Ninja Slushi Professional Frozen Drink Maker is currently priced at P72,085.00 at Shopee. It comes in Arctic Blue and Gray colors. Dimensions are 16.5 x 41.4 x 43 cm. It weighs 11kg and has a 200 W wattage. It has a 2.6L vessel capacity. Please take note of the minimum and maximum levels for the liquid.
We christened that Sunday as #SlushiSundays, and I have a feeling that there will be more of that. I would recommend the Ninja Slushi if you often have guests over at home. It’s also ideal when you have a big family, or in our case, have a lot of family nearby. It probably wouldn’t be an ideal buy if you live alone and rarely have guests over. But, if your house is often the venue for gatherings, then the Ninja Slushi Machine would be a great addition and, yes, in the long run, a good investment, especially if you love cold drinks.
