NPD offers free cervical, breast cancer screening for policewomen
In line with the continuing celebration of Women’s Month, the Northern Police District (NPD) conducted a cervical and breast cancer screening activity to ensure the health and well-being of its women personnel on Wednesday, March 18, at its headquarters in Caloocan City.
The screening activity, led by its District Medical and Dental Unit (DMDU), was held following a health seminar aimed at raising awareness on the importance of early detection and prevention of cervical and breast cancer among women in the police force.
The seminar was led by Dr. Ronalyn Dimailig, MD, together with her team of nurses and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), who shared valuable knowledge and medical guidance with the participants.
NPD Acting District Director Brig. Gen. Christopher Dela Cruz expressed his sincere gratitude to Dimailig and her team for their invaluable contribution to the success of the activity. As a gesture of appreciation, a Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the medical team in recognition of their dedication and support.
NPD said the initiative underscores its continued commitment to promoting women’s health, empowerment, and overall wellness, especially among its personnel.
