Manila to hold grand raffle for 100 in-city housing units

After years of waiting and hoping, hundreds of Manila families are now a step closer to having a place to call their own, as the city government prepares to hold its Grand Raffle for In-City Vertical Housing Projects on Wednesday, March 18, where 100 housing units will be awarded to qualified beneficiaries.

Of the total number, 50 units will be drawn for San Lazaro Residences, while 25 units each will be allotted for Pedro Gil Residences and San Sebastian Residences.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso will lead the activity, which aims to provide deserving Manileño families the opportunity to secure permanent housing under City Ordinance No. 8730, the local government’s housing program for city residents.

The raffle, conducted through a public draw of lots, highlights the city’s commitment to open governance and transparency, ensuring a fair and credible selection process for qualified applicants.

More than just a draw, the event represents a turning point for many families, transforming years of uncertainty into the promise of stability, dignity, and a place they can finally call home.

The initiative is part of the city government’s broader efforts to address the housing backlog in Manila and uplift the living conditions of its residents.

The grand raffle will be streamed live on the official Facebook pages of the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO), the City Government of Manila, and Mayor Domagoso, allowing the public to witness the selection process in real time.
