The Global Finance Convention (GFC) is the premier flagship event organized by the Management of Financial Institutions Association (MaFIA) of De La Salle University–Manila. Now in its 10th year, MaFIA remains committed to sparking high-level discussions by providing a professional and forward-looking perspective on key financial topics. Through this, the organization continues to prepare future finance leaders by enhancing their knowledge and skills, empowering them to become financially literate and globally competitive.
This year’s convention reflects the changes in our evolving world, where sustainability is not an option but a necessity across all industries. As global challenges continue to shape the financial landscape, it becomes increasingly important for future professionals to understand their role in contributing to long-term, financially responsible solutions. In line with this, GFC 2026 actively takes part in this movement through this year’s theme.
Global Finance Convention 2026: Pioneering tomorrow’s sustainable systems
On March 21, 2026, at Natividad Fajardo-Rosales Gonzalez Auditorium, 18th Floor, Bro. Andrew Gonzalez Hall, the event will hold high-level discussions with three industry leaders. Empowering finance students within and outside the university to think critically and actively respond to the changes needed in our society.
GFC 2026 will focus on three core topics. Firstly, REbuilding Earth, REviving Communities, where we discuss how regenerative finance not only heals the environment but also helps communities grow. Secondly, Navigating the Net-Zero Pathway, where we focus on how transition finance can help companies move from high-carbon operations to low-carbon operations. Lastly, Paving the way to Resilient Futures, where we explore climate risk and resilience finance to protect vulnerable communities, businesses, and economies from the effects of natural disasters.
Ultimately, this year’s convention highlights finance as a powerful tool for positive changes in our community. With this year’s theme, GFC 2026 aims to show how financial decisions today create tomorrow’s sustainable systems.
