2 dead in truck-multicab collision in Quezon

PAGBILAO, Quezon – Two individuals were killed and two were injured in a collision between a truck and multicab in Barangay Silangang Malicboy, this town, on Wednesday morning, March 18.

Police identified one of the fatalities as Jhay-Ar, driver of the multicab. The other is the truck helper who is yet to be identified.

One of the injured was identified as Renel, a companion of Jhay-Ar, and the truck driver.

The truck helper was found dead and trapped inside the truck.

Investigation said the driver lost control of the truck loaded with livestock feed due to a possible brake malfunction. The truck moved uncontrollably until it collided with the multicab. Due to the strong impact, the multicab was dragged for several meters.

The truck landed on a creek. The truck driver and Renel were taken to a hospital. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
