Kapamilya actress and singer Belle Mariano revealed that working without her on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan provided a much-needed breather for them.

During an interview on the ABS-CBN News YouTube show, "Oh My Gan!," Belle mentioned that she feltanxious working solo in her recent project.

"May kaba nung una, kasi syempre may ano na kayo—meron na kayong approach—like, alam mo na ‘yung gagawin ng isa… pero I feel like it’s a much-needed break I would say (At first, I felt nervous since we already have a way of working together… you know what the other person will do. But I’d say this was a much-needed break),” she said.

The actress also highlighted that working outside ‘DonBelle’ helped them grow.

"Yung mga nakatrabaho naming artista outside of ‘DonBelle,’ talagang ako, sobrang natuto ako. Like—kay Inay, kay Papa P.—as in grabe talaga ‘yung natutunan ko (The actors we worked with outside of ‘DonBelle’ taught me so much. Like—from Inay, from Papa P.— I mean, I really learned a lot),” she added.

Venturing into roles outside their love team, Belle noted that their fans remain supportive no matter which path they take as artists.

“Our supporters—whether that’s individual projects or together—they’re very supportive talaga (Our supporters—whether for our individual projects or together—they’re really very supportive),” she said.

Apart from the support they receive from their fans, Belle also talked about how she and Donny openly root for each other.

"He attended my premiere night, and I attended for Roja. So we’re very vocal about supporting each other, and we see it also with our supporters (He attended my premiere night, and I attended for Roja. So we’re very open about supporting each other, and we see the same from our fans),” she added.

Reflecting on her experience working with other actors, Belle shared, “Parang sabi ko ‘Oh okay, this is how it’s like pala to work with someone else' (I thought to myself, ‘Oh, so this is how it feels to work with someone new).”

Reuniting on the big screen for their upcoming film, “Tayo sa Wakas,” directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, Belle discussed how different it is from their past projects.

"I would say it’s very challenging hindi ko alam kasi feeling ko macha-challenge talaga ako rito. I mean, every role is challenging for me. Pero this one I feel macha-challenge talaga ako (I’d say it’s very challenging, I don’t really know, I feel like this one is really going to challenge me. I mean, every role is challenging for me, but this one, I really feel it’s going to challenge me),” she said.

Following their individual projects, Belle said that they're even more excited to work together again.

"There is excitement to now, there’s more excitement we are finally working together—and I’m excited kung paano siya lalabas (There is excitement to now, there’s more excitement we are finally working together—and I’m really excited to see how it all turns out),” Belle added.
