A total of 7,000 tricycle drivers in Parañaque City are set to receive a P5,000 fuel subsidy to help ease the impact of rising fuel prices and sustain their daily operations.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the distribution of the subsidy began on Tuesday, March 17, benefiting members of 25 Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA).
The payout is being conducted at two designated centers — Palanyag Gym and Don Bosco Gym.
Olivarez personally visited the payout sites to ensure the smooth and timely distribution of the assistance.
He added that all tricycle drivers in the city are expected to receive the subsidy, with payouts scheduled to continue until Friday, March 20.
The mayor also advised drivers who were not included in the initial list of beneficiaries to coordinate with their respective TODA presidents or register under the Parañaque HELP Card, a universal ID system that provides residents with faster and more convenient access to city services and assistance.
