2-year-old boy drowns in Maragondon River

CAVITE – A two-year-old boy reportedly drowned in a part of the Maragondon River in the town of Ternate on Monday, March 16.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A said the child's mother reported the incident.
At around 5:00 p.m. on the date of the incident, the mother noticed her son missing from their residence in Barangay Sapang 1 and immediately looked for him near the river.
Not finding her son, she searched for him elsewhere in their neighborhood, but to no avail.
At 6:00 p.m., she went back to the river and found her son floating in the water.
The victim was rushed to the Cavite Municipal Hospital in Maragondon but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
