The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested two high-value individuals and seized P850,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa on March 16.
The suspects, identified by the aliases Tol, 21, and Darren, 18, both residents of Taguig, were nabbed in an operation in Barangay Sucat.
Conducting the operation were operatives of the SPD's District Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and the Muntinlupa police's Sucat Sub-station.
During the entrapment, a police officer acted as a poseur buyer and successfully transacted with Tol, leading to the immediate arrest of both suspects.
Upon their apprehension, the police recovered 125 grams of shabu.
Tol yielded 75 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, and a cell phone. The police recovered 50 grams of shabu from Darren.
The suspects were brought to the DDEU office for documentation. They will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD district director, commended the DDEU operatives for the arrest of the suspects.
