A 25-year-old motorcycle rider was dragged and suffered a broken right arm after a collision with a jeepney along Quezon Boulevard, Barangay 307, Quiapo, past midnight on Sunday, March 15.
Police reports show that the motorcycle was driven by a parking attendant from Camarin, Caloocan City.
The victim was returning to Quiapo from Caloocan with eight friends riding five motorcycles when an Isuzu jeepney driven by a 33-year-old resident of Quezon City suddenly swerved into his lane near the corner of Paterno Street.
The rider lost control, slid, and fell onto the pavement, sustaining physical injuries.
He was immediately assisted and transported by an MDRRMO ambulance to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center for treatment. The motorcycle also sustained damage of an undetermined amount.
Authorities said the incident has been amicably settled, but police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Officers reminded motorists to exercise caution, particularly during late-night travel, as Quezon Boulevard remains a busy thoroughfare even past midnight.
