To recognize the important role of teachers and staff in shaping the future of the youth, the local government of Pasig will launch a master's scholarship for public school personnel to support those who wish to pursue a master's degree and further their professional development.
The program will be implemented through the Pasig City Education Department (PCED) and aims to support the ongoing professional development of public school personnel in the city by providing scholarships for pursuing a master's degree at Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-recognized higher education institutions (HEIs) in Metro Manila.
The PCED will announce the opening of the application period and the number of slots available, based on the available funding.
The local government said that under the program, qualified scholars may receive scholarship grants ranging from P10,000 to P40,000 per term, depending on the number of units they take.

Those eligible to apply for the scholarship are permanent teaching and non-teaching personnel assigned to public schools in Pasig (from Kindergarten to Senior High School) and personnel assigned to child development centers under the local government.
For the qualifications of scholarship applicants and the documentary requirements, see the photo below:
The local government noted that applicants must submit complete requirements, both soft copies (online form) and hard copies (physical copies to be submitted at the PCED office).
The PCED then will conduct the evaluation of applications, where applicants may be classified as “accepted,” “waitlisted,” or “not accepted.”
It explained that if the allocation of slots is insufficient for the number of eligible applicants, priority will be given to those with longer years of service in the education sector.
“Ang mga ‘accepted’ na aplikante ay kailangang mag-confirm ng kanilang slot sa loob ng pitong (7) working days mula sa araw na natanggap ang abiso sa email. Kung walang kumpirmasyon na matatanggap mula sa kanila, ang slot nila ay ibibigay sa mga ‘waitlisted’ (Applicants who are accepted must confirm their slot within seven working days from the date they receive the notice via email. If no confirmation is received from them, their slot will be offered to waitlisted applicants),” the city government added.
It also reminded applicants who were not accepted may submit a written appeal to the PCED within three days of receiving the notice.
Also, applicants who were not admitted in the current cycle may still apply again in the next application cycle.
In addition, scholars who fail two subjects or courses, as well as those who use the scholarship funds for purposes other than their intended use based on the report of the HEI, may be removed from the scholarship program.
Beneficiaries must enroll in a CHED-recognized higher education institution (HEI) located in the National Capital Region (NCR) and designated as a Center of Excellence or Center of Development. The list of these HEIs can be accessed through this link: https://bit.ly/PC_HEIs_COEsandCODs
Meanwhile, as part of the return service requirement, scholars must render two years of service after completing the program in either public schools in Pasig or Child Development Centers under the Pasig City government.
This is in accordance with the Return Service Agreement that scholars must sign before accepting the scholarship.
