First Lady attends global 'Meeting of the Minds' forum in Miami
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos attended the annual “Meeting of the Minds” convention in Miami, Florida, where global leaders and thinkers gathered to discuss major issues shaping the world.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, March 14, the First Lady said the forum she attended on Thursday, March 12, highlighted discussions on emerging technologies, economic uncertainty, and evolving geopolitical realities.
“Grateful to attend the annual ‘Meeting of the Minds’ convention in Miami — where global leaders and thinkers come together to reflect on the forces shaping our world,” she said.
“From artificial intelligence and economic uncertainty to today’s geopolitical realities, the conversations were a reminder of how interconnected our future truly is,” she added.
The convention, organized by Applied Underwriters, brings together policymakers, business leaders, academics, and innovators to examine global trends affecting business, technology, and governance.
The event serves as a platform for discussions on emerging risks, global economic developments, technological innovation, and international policy challenges.
This is not the first time the First Lady has attended the forum. She also participated in the same “Meeting of the Minds” convention in Miami on March 3, 2025, where international experts similarly discussed developments in global economics, technology, and public policy.
The First Lady was in New York this week for President Marcos’ working visit from Mach 9 to 10.
