The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 36 wanted individuals, including 15 classified as most wanted, during coordinated warrant day operations conducted across the city on Friday, March 13.
Simultaneous operations were launched by different police stations and units across the city as part of the district’s intensified campaign to track down fugitives facing criminal charges.
QCPD District Director Randy Glenn Silvio said the operations resulted in the arrest of 15 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 21 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs), underscoring the police force’s continuing efforts to ensure that suspects answer for cases filed against them in court.
Among those arrested was a 22-year-old suspect identified only as alias “Jose,” the No. 4 most-wanted person of the Project 4 Police Station.
He was apprehended around 12:30 a.m. at his residence in Barangay Escopa III, Quezon City.
Authorities said the suspect faces a warrant of arrest for statutory rape issued by a regional trial court branch in the city.
Two other most-wanted persons, identified as “Bryan” and “Edmon,” both 35 years old, were also served warrants of arrest for robbery issued by a court in Morong, Rizal.
The warrants were served while the two were already detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology regional office in CALABARZON.
Police records showed that both suspects had previous cases, including drug-related offenses, theft, and other criminal complaints.
Meanwhile, another suspect, alias “Jay Jay,” 41, was served a warrant of arrest at the Quezon City Jail Dormitory for violating the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
Separate operations also led to the arrest of alias “John Paul,” 25, in Barangay North Fairview for two counts of statutory rape and acts of lasciviousness, as well as alias “Arman,” 30, who faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police said all arrested suspects will be presented before the courts that issued the warrants against them.
“The continuous implementation of the warrant day initiative reflects the QCPD’s firm commitment to ensuring that individuals facing criminal charges are held accountable before the law,” Silvio said.
Authorities added that operations targeting wanted persons will continue as part of efforts to strengthen law enforcement and public safety across Quezon City.
