The Parañaque city government has implemented a new work schedule for its employees, reducing office days to Monday through Thursday in line with the national government’s directive on energy-saving measures in government offices.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez issued a memorandum on March 8 establishing a work-from-home arrangement every Friday.
On Friday, March 13, Olivarez announced that the adjusted office hours for all city employees will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
He added that offices providing essential services—including health, public safety, and emergency preparedness—will remain fully operational despite the modified work schedule.
The mayor noted that the move aligns with similar measures adopted by other local government units in Metro Manila, promoting energy efficiency and flexible working arrangements.
