Operatives of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested three drug suspects and seized P816,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation early Friday, March 13.
Col. Nicolas Piñon, Parañaque City Police chief, identified the suspects as Angelo, 23, a resident of Habay, Bacoor, Cavite; Ronaldo, 22, and Raymond, 25, both residents of Barangay San Dionisio.
Police said the suspects were nabbed at around 1:03 a.m. in Barangay San Dionisio after selling illegal drugs to an undercover police operative during the operation.
Authorities recovered transparent plastic sachets containing about 120 grams of suspected shabu valued at P816,000. Also seized were a black sling bag, a cellular phone, and the P1,000 buy-bust money.
The confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The suspects are currently detained at the Parañaque City Police custodial facility and will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This successful operation shows the strong coordination and dedication of our personnel in the fight against illegal drugs. The Southern Police District will continue to intensify its efforts to protect our communities and combat the illegal drug trade,” SPD director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said.
