Malacañang declares March 27 special non-working day in Las Piñas

Malacañang has declared March 27 a special non-working day in Las Piñas City in celebration of its 119th Founding Anniversary and 29th Cityhood Anniversary.
Las Piñas CityApril Aguilar, said the declaration was made through Proclamation No. 1186, signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by authority of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Aguilar said the proclamation allows residents of the city to fully participate in the commemorative activities and festivities prepared by the local government for the twin celebrations.
She added that the special non-working holiday allows Las Piñeros to celebrate the city’s rich history, culture, and achievements through various programs and events organized by the city government.
The mayor also encouraged residents to actively take part in the activities while continuing to observe public safety and security guidelines during the celebration.
Las Piñas is known for its historical landmarks, including the world-famous Las Piñas Bamboo Organ housed at the St. Joseph Parish Church, as well as its vibrant community festivities that highlight the city’s heritage, unity, and strong sense of local pride.
The city government organized various cultural, civic, and community activities in celebration of the anniversary.
