PDEA: 2 top drug suspects nabbed in P47.6 M Tawi-Tawi shabu bust

Government anti-narcotics agents seized on Wednesday, March 11, around P47.6 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two high-value targets (HVT) during a buy-bust operation in Sibuto, Tawi-Tawi, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.
In a statement, the PDEA said that the suspects with aliases “Alvin’’ and “Ben’’ both of Bongao town were collared in Barangay Poblacion after transacting with an undercover agent.
Authorities nearby immediately pounced on the suspects after the undercover agent gave the signal signifying that the deal was consummated.
During the search, authorities confiscated seven golden-yellow tea bags labeled “Guanyinwang” containing approximately 7,000 grams of shabu, a gray luggage, a mobile phone apparently used in the illegal transaction and buy-bust money.
The suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
