Marikina cops arrest man wanted for stabbing co-worker with screwdriver
Authorities arrested a 38-year-old man wanted for allegedly stabbing his co-worker with a screwdriver during a drinking session in Marikina City in July 2025.

Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspect as “Wally,” listed as the sixth most wanted person by the Marikina City Police Station.
He was arrested during a manhunt operation conducted by personnel of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) of the EPD, in coordination with the Marikina City Police Station and the Alitagtag Municipal Police Station, in Barangay Pinagkurusan, Alitagtag, Batangas, on March 9.
His arrest was made pursuant to a warrant issued by Judge Deogracias M. Natividad, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 272 in Marikina City, on February 2, 2026. He faces a charge of attempted murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines.
Based on the investigation, the crime occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on July 31, 2025, in Dela Costa Homes, Barangay Barangka, Marikina City.
Authorities said the suspect and the victim, who were co-workers and laborers, were drinking together when, without apparent reason, the suspect suddenly pulled out a screwdriver tucked in his waist and stabbed the victim in the chest while he was lying down.
The victim managed to escape and was immediately brought to the hospital, while the suspect fled the scene, authorities added.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Marikina City Police Station.
