Duterte condemns use of son's photo in spreading false info

Vice President Sara Duterte has condemned the use of the photo of her minor son to purportedly spread false information.
In a statement, Duterte stressed she never used her children to advance her own interests.
She had even kept them from engaging in political talks outside their home.
Her statement on Wednesday night, March 11, came after several publication materials showed her son asking the public to supposedly "please take care of my mother" as she had dedicated "her life for the welfare of the nation."
"Huwag nating hayaang magamit ang mga bata sa pagpapakalat ng fake news sa maruming mundo ng politika ngayon (Let's not use children in spreading fake news in a world of dirty politics)," she said.
"Ang proteksyon ng kabataan—anak ko man o hindi—ay responsibilidad nating lahat (Children's protection—regardless if it's mine or not—is the responsibility of all)," she added.
