BARMM distributes financial aid to MV Trisha Kerstin victims

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao-Ministry of Social Services and Development has distributed financial assistance to victims of the MV Trisha Kerstin 3 tragedy in Sulu and Zamboanga City.
A total of 163 victims received assistance distributed on March 9 and 10 in Sulu and Zamboanga City.
Survivors of the tragedy received P10,000 to assist them with their medical expenses while families of deceased passengers and the missing were given P25,000 as burial assistance.
Another payout is scheduled on March 13 in Sulu for remaining victims who have not received assistance.
The distribution was made under the BCARES program, an initiative aimed towards providing support for medical expenses, hospitalization, and burial assistance to persons affected by disasters and crises in the BARMM.
