Patients and their families at the Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) in Alabang can now access government assistance and civil registry services without leaving the hospital, following the opening of the Mayor’s Action Center (MAC) inside the facility.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon led the inauguration of the MAC that aims to simplify access to government support for residents seeking medical care.
The MAC consolidates services from the Kalingang Munti Action Center, Local Civil Registry, and Social Services Department.
Patients may apply for medical financial assistance, request civil registry documents such as birth certificates, secure burial transfer permits, obtain certificates of indigency, and avail of free notarial services.
Biazon said the MAC addresses a common concern among families dealing with illness — the need to process documents and assistance requests from different government offices.
“Kapag may may sakit sa pamilya, mahalaga na mabilis at madaling makuha ang tulong ng pamahalaan (When someone in the family is sick, it is important that government assistance is available quickly and easily). Bringing these services directly to the hospital allows patients and their families to focus on care and recovery,” Biazon said.
City officials said integrating these services within the hospital is intended to reduce processing time and make government assistance more accessible to residents who need it most.
The inauguration was attended by OsMun Medical Director Dr. Jimmy Evangelista, Trina Biazon, and other city officials.
Dialysis patient Bob Santos also joined the ceremonial opening, symbolizing the city’s effort to make public services more accessible to patients and their families.
Biazon also thanked hospital staff for their continued service to Muntinlupeño patients.
“Ang mahalaga ay mabilis, maayos, at may malasakit ang serbisyo para sa ating mga kababayan (What is important is that the service for our countrymen is fast, efficient, and caring)," he said.
